The Marathon Doula

Emma Fitzsimons

Hello! My name is Emma, also known as “The Marathon Doula”.
I believe Pregnancy, Labour and Birth is like a Marathon, not a sprint….

My eldest was born in 2005 and I was a single mother for 15 years. I also have two more children with my partner; a three year old and a one year old.

I have witnessed and experienced first-hand some interesting changes in how maternity care has evolved in Ireland over time and can see how beneficial and empowering having a Doula there to support you through the labour, the birth and your path to Motherhood can be.

As a fully certified Fitness Instructor since 2012, I can teach you how the body works for you, moves and changes to facilitate the birth of your baby. With the right support and environmental factors in place you can totally ace this!

I am also available in the crucial Postnatal period, holding space for you and your baby to bond, by whatever way is best for you.

My mission is to show Women that Greatness is already within them; to inspire them to realise themselves they are so much more capable and amazing than they are currently conditioned by society to believe!

I am here for you, on the Long Distance into Motherhood, and Beyond!
