Mariah Cronin

Hello, dia duit! My name is Mariah. I am a queer Irish-Italian woman raised on the lands of the Massachusett and Wamponoag people on the coast of the Atlantic ocean, near Boston, “USA”. I am a certified doula for folks at the end of life. Regardless of age or prognosis, I believe we all have the right to live well until we die, with intention and dedication to meaning making. I have personal experiences with loss of loved ones from physical and mental illness. Whether losing someone slowly, such as from cancer, or suddenly, such as from suicide, death is complex and all loss is experienced differently. I am grateful to be able to hold space for those approaching the end of life and their loved ones. I intend to openly talk about loss, as it happens, and destigmatize grieving, which is the flip side of the coin of loving.
I am also an aspiring full-spectrum birth doula. I plan to draw on my own experiences of acknowledging and healing from sexual violence, pregnancy termination, and state violence to support clients emotionally, physically and mentally in the beautiful
and often terribly painful processes of life and death and life again.
Finally, I am a community herbalist. I have been practicing herbalism for about a decade and gain a lot of strength and peace from connecting with plant kin. As a doula, I can recommend rituals and practices to connect with the plants around you to bring strength and comfort.
