Hi, I'm Shelly – Birth & Postpartum Doula Serving Dublin and Surrounding Areas.

I'm a birth and postpartum doula based in Rush, North County Dublin. I live with my partner and our beloved dog, Zoe beside the beach. Supporting expectant and new parents through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum has been my passion for nearly a decade.
My journey into maternity care began in 2016 when I first stepped into the world of midwifery as a student. From the start, I was inspired by the strength and resilience of birthing mothers and people. I immersed myself in research, books, articles, and hands-on learning, fueled by a desire to empower parents to have
the birthing experiences they desire and deserve.In 2020, after countless placements and transformative experiences, I chose to transition from midwifery to become a birth and postpartum doula.
My trainings were completed with DoulaCare Ireland. This shift allowed me to focus on providing continuity of care and building meaningful relationships with families in their own spaces – their homes. Here, I could truly support parents during those tender, challenging, and beautiful moments of adjustment to life
with a new baby.
My services are designed to make this transition smoother, whether that’s assisting with breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, offering babywearing advice, helping you organise baby clothes or the nursery, or even just
tidying up, doing laundry, or cooking a comforting meal. I’m also there for those moments when rest or recharge are needed—I can care for your baby, take them for a walk, or accompany you to medical appointments.
From debriefing about your birth experience to sharing tips and tricks for adjusting to life with a newborn, my goal is to support you in the ways that best benefit you and your family.
I’m deeply honored to be part of such an intimate, transformative time in people’s lives—helping navigate the complexities of the healthcare system and witnessing incredible strength in the face of vulnerability. Meeting people where they're at has always been a strength of mine and parents are always delighted to have that adaptability when it comes to learning styles.
